Why insulate your conservatory roof?

Conservatory roof insulation is essential for both energy efficiency and comfort. During winter, up to 93% of heat is lost through uninsulated roofs, leading to increased energy bills and reduced thermal comfort. By investing in insulation, homeowners can significantly reduce heat loss, creating a more energy-efficient living space. Additionally, in the summer, temperatures over 50 degrees Celsius have been recorded in uninsulated conservatories, rendering the space unusable for extended periods. Insulation not only prevents excessive heat build-up but also enhances overall temperature regulation, making the conservatory a comfortable, year-round extension of the home. With conservatory roof insulation, individuals can enjoy a more sustainable and versatile living space while simultaneously cutting energy costs.

    About ComfiSpace Ltd

ComfiSpace was originally listed as a sole-trading business which was then formed as a limited company in 2020, Now we are a small team of skilled conservatory roof insulation installers who share over 50 years of combined experience in conservatory roof insulation.

Following the amendment to Building Control regulations regarding conservatory roofs in 2011, homeowners can replace old installations for insulation purposes without seeking approval for our method (other methods may require/do require building control approval), once the style remains the same. We saw an opportunity to do this for clients throughout the areas we cover and now solely focus on one professional service.

ComfiSpace Ltd is a small local business with hands-on directors who provide personal and professional service throughout East and West Sussex, Kent and Surrey. We upgrade conservatory roofs to insulated systems so clients can utilise the space all year round and benefit from the high-quality system we supply and fit.

Based in Hailsham, our client base covers Sussex, Surrey and Kent

    The Marketplace

Short of knocking your conservatory down, there are 3 methods available to insulate your conservatory roof.

    We Offer Our Price Promise

If you were able to get a like for like quote for less than our price, we will not only match it, we will give you an additional 5% off!!

    Internal Ceiling

    Starts at

This is basically a DIY project, as all materials are readily available. It involves installing a thermal blanket under the existing roof frame, with a finished ceiling of interlocking pvc or plasterboard.

This should be in the £2,000 to £3,000 range but your existing roof panels will still be in place.

That normally means that it is not a nice, new, fresh external finish, still prone to deterioration (i.e. leaks, draughts etc) and we are often called ni by people to upgrade these to our system.

    Tiled Roof

    Starts at

We have all seen these roof types where the glass/ polcarb panels, plus roof frame, are removed and replaced with a tiled external finish plus an internal insulated ceiling. Two problems

with these: you need to get Building Control approval which may mean that the foundations or structure needs reinforcing due to the weight and a normal project will take up to a week, involving wet trades such as plasterers etc.

These projects will normally cost between £8,000 and £20,000.

    Our System
    Starts at

With our method, normally it is a simple one day job, where your existing roof panels are removed and replaced with our fully insulated panels, which do not require building control approval. Now, where some companies out there will try to charge the same price as a tiled roof.

Our system starts at £3,200 and with our price promise guaranteeing that we will not be beaten on price for a panelled system.
